Day 3: Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier

As you can see our weather changed dramatically from Seattle!! This was our first glimpse of Juneau.

Downtown Juneau, a busy city when 4 ships are in at the same time. Every other store is a jewelry store!!

The Famous Red Dog Saloon, which we didn't bother visiting but many, many did.

This is Mendenhall Glacier which we loved, the colors were more blue since it was cloudy (and rainy). So they told us!!

Alaska With My Sisters: Day 1 and 2

We had such a great time together, we left Seattle and spent Sunday at sea. Sunday night was our first formal night. Some people asked it we were triplets!!

Happy 74th!!!

Happy 74th, just wanted to show the happy celebration. Dad got his favorite carrot cake and we all helped him but we needed more to help us finish it!!! We have too much left over.

Pitter Patter of Little Feet!!

We have the "pitter patter of little feet" around here sometimes but in a slightly different form!!!

A bird flew into the sliding door, it was pretty stunned and while I watched it to see if it was going to be alright, the squirrel came and joined it for a while.

Vancouver

I went up to Vancouver on June 8th (My mum's 100th birthday) and actually celebrated Mary's birthday, she was born the day before Mum's birthday. The dinner was at Vickie's home. We also went shopping, of course, but their prices are so much higher than ours that I really didn't find anything. Had a great time with my sisters as usual. Met Dina's new boyfriend, they stopped by for a short visit.

Steve Loveall

Dad and I drove to Boise, ID on the 5th of June to go through the temple with Steve. He took a long time to take the step but we were so thrilled to go with him. We had a good visit with he and Judy then came home the next day after going through the temple.

Kailey and Skyler

I had the opportunity to go to Kailey's and Skyler's "end of the 1st grade program". It was well done, they went through the calendar of all they'd done all year in word and song.

Update: :"This old house..."

Just thought you might like to see what Dad has done to "this old house". He has enclosed the side yard now with fencing and it's hard to see on the first picture but he's put in 3 planted areas in the front of the house!!! The tulips and daffodils are just beautiful right now, it looks really pretty. Now all we need is SUN!!! We will have high temperatures for about two days on the weekend and then it looks like it goes right back down. Summer is coming in dribs and drabs but mostly drabs!!!

May Birthdays

This is a big month for our family!!! Missy Walker and Ryan (6th) Afton (8th) Kate (13th) Billy (15th) Sarah (20th) Calvin (22nd) Skyler (23rd) Natasha (26th) and we're expecting to say a "Happy Birth Day" to Grady when he comes!!

Also a "Happy Anniversary" to Katy and Paul on the 27th.

April Birthdays

Olivia's Blessing

It was so wonderful to be in Atlanta area to visit with the Puzey's and the Anderson's. They tried to provide good weather, I know, but we only got about 3 good days! We went for the company and the great time we always have while we're there, so we were not disappointed!

More Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the big Easter Egg hunt at William's house - we had a fun time watching all the excitement with the little ones. They had breakfast and a little program and then the Easter Egg hunt and it's a good thing because the egg hunt took about 5 minutes!!!

Tait's Basketball game

We went to one of Tate's basketball games and most of the pictures were a blur even with my camera on "action" photos. It was fun to see him play!!!

Our Winter Snow Storm

January 28th this year we had our snow storm and Skyler actually got to build a snowman!!!

March Birthday Wishes

This is a little more timely, at least it's the same month!!! Happy Birthday to Jordan -2nd; Katy - 6th; Amy - 22nd; Courtney and Andrew - 31st and also Cheryl's and Doug's anniversay - 31st. Love and good wishes to all!!!

Happy (late) February Birthdays!!

52 years ago today...

Wow - its seems like yesterday - sometimes!! We went to Chuckwagon for a hamburger for our anniversary dinner and thought about having passed right by that place on the way to Seattle for our honeymoon. It has been there since 1949 and we would have driven down Highway 99 right in front of it. We're happily enjoying these years together and wonder at how good we feel and the things we can still do!!
