Jim Moore moved...

We got together in August, the Kay Lane bunch, and sent Jim off as he'd sold his house. He's only the second one to move out of the cul-de-sac since we all moved in!!! We wish him well. That's his girlfriend with him.

Cheryl's "40th" Visit

We had a fun brunch for Cheryl while she was here, one of the many fun things we did!!!

More summer fun...

We had many fun trips to parks and lakes while all our visitors came last summer. We were so thilled to have everyone who could come last summer, please come again!!!

While Kristen was at her reunion

Melissa and Guy had the families out to their new home for tractor rides, a bonfire and fun and games with the cousins. A fun cousin sleep-over. Thanks, Knoblichs!

We have a fun new park...

and the Hiltons came to visit last summer. We had some fun outings to our new park and other parks around the area. We did have some sun also.

Victoria Our Last Stop!!

We didn't arrive in Victoria until 6 at night so we didn't get off as it was 1 1/2 miles to town and it was getting dark.

We did see some hang gliders - and a little scenery. It was such a wonderful trip and we were so spoiled, we just loved it!!!

Day 6: Ketchikan

One of the ways to see the town! We walked, it was raining and there wasn't a lot to see. It's strange that anyone ever built here as it seems there's the water and the land goes straight up into mountains almost. Some of the people had 50 or 60 stairs to go up to their homes from the street below.

Lots of fish were coming up Ketchikan Creek to spawn and I happened to catch this one jumping. Dead fish were everywhere and it smelled like it!!!

This is Creek Street, it used to be the red light district but is all shopping now.

That night was Chef's Night and we had to wear these hats!!! The food was great!!!

Day 5: Sitka

We saw many, many totem poles here - the Sitka State Park is loaded with them, it's a great little town. We had a wonderful 4 1/2 hour walk through the park and the town. I think this was my favorite place to see. It was where the Russians settled, the mustard colored house is where the Russian Bishop lived, it was built in about 1840. This city has quite a history. And the sun came out while we were there, which made it great for our walk.

Day 4: Hubbard Glacier

The blues are so beautiful, it's really hard to capture.

Hubbard Glacier is 350 feet tall and 7 miles wide.

We were very blessed that the fog lifted at the time we were here, we had been unable to see anything for miles because of fog.

Icebergs were nothing like what I would have pictured - I don't know what I expected but blue was not it!!
