University of Texas - Longhorns

We visited the University of Texas where they have one of the few original copies of the Gutenberg Bible. The bell tower where a sniper killed some people a few years ago and a beautiful view of the capitol building.

The Lone Star State

Lone stars everywhere in Texas and no one can tell you the exact reason that it is called the Lone Star state, but they sure use it everywhere as you can see!!! I don't know if you can tell but the third picture has a light fixture and the lights spell TEXAS. The second picture shows the six flags that Texas has been under.

We went to see the Capitol building and museum - President Bush's picture was there as a governor for that state. All the beautiful furniture and hardware is amazing!!

Bat City

We actually saw the bats this year, last time we tried (March 2007?) they were smart enough to stay in away from the cold but we and quite a few other people were hopefully awaiting their appearance. It was fun to see them, there're thousands of them. Quite a sight!!!

We went to the park!!

Fun days at the park near their home!! It may be hard to tell but the 3 bottom pictures are of the bat toss that Cooper was playing (it's a plastic bat!!)
